Pocket scrapping. Is it for you?
To be honest, it's not my favorite type of scrapping. I've seen some gorgeous pocket albums, and I really respect the craft. But for me it's like trying to explain why I'm not a fan of coconut. I'm just not, yet I've seen some amazing looking coconut desserts.
So why am I even writing about pocket scrapping? Because the Picture My Life products made for pocket scrapping by Close to My Heart are just too fun to overlook. So I use them in different ways. I add them to my traditional scrapping. I cut them up and use bits & pieces as embellishments. I make cards with them. And some are perfect for slipping into my husband's pocket or briefcase for him to find later.
I love Picture My Life!
So now that I am amassing a collection of PML cards, I want to show you an easy way to store them and have them easily at hand.
One of our My Acrylix Organizers is perfect for all the new cards. I've made little "pockets" with card stock to keep them separate and labeled. Please note: the Mini Stamp Organizer will not accommodate the Picture My Life cards.
Okay, I confess this is really just a suggestion because I have lots of PML cards from past catalogs that I haven't used up yet. Here's the real deal using our Medium Storage Organizer. You may notice that the back half of the organizer is nothing but Picture My Life.
Did you know that the older cards have not retired? Find the new and old online here, Picture My Life.
Let me tell you what has changed about the cards marked "new." The same image is on front and back of each card. You can now choose the orientation that best suits your scrapping just by flipping the card over. Here is an example.
The top & bottom cards are the same size, it's my collage program that makes them look different.
Below are samples of all the newest PML cards. Just like me, you are going to want them all.
During the month of September 2015, if you order a set, or two or three of Picture My Life cards, and the My Acrylix Organizer or the Medium Storage Organizer, I will email you an easy to follow set of instructions for making the card holders out of card stock.
I'll be back soon with some samples of how I use the PML cards.
