Last summer Close To My Heart introduced a new publication called
Make it from Your Heart. It's filled with sketches and samples of layouts and cards, a wonderful resource for crafters like us!
For this little hop Tracey, Mary and I used pattern #30 from
Make it from Your Heart as our inspiration. I hope you enjoy what I've done. Be sure to read all the way to the end to see how you can win some of my cards.

Win 2 Cards from this post!
If you like what you see here you can become eligible to win two of these cards
simply by leaving me a comment. I'll use a random number generator to select the winner and announce that person on the 15th of March with the next installment of this hop.
My process. When Tracey selected the pattern for this hop I immediately wanted to create a card for each orientation, upright, a turn to the right, a turn to the left and completely flipped. When I chose my paper, the Chantilly pack, and began cutting the three pieces for each card, I decided to cut each piece out of each of the six patterns provided in the packet, which eventually dictated making six cards. Somewhere I got my papers mixed up and it didn't work out exactly as I planned, but it's close. My happiest accident was the bird on the last card. I loved how it fell on the paper and decided I must accent it for the card. In real life the frame around the bird isn't as dark as it appears in the photo and I love how it turned out. Close To My Heart papers rock!
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to follow my blog and come back for the Paper Trail blog hop on the 1st of the month.
