April Showers Brings Claire Flowers

Welcome to the Paper Trail blog hop!  It's April and we are featuring the Close To My Heart Claire paper packet.

Our blog hop is circular - if you arrived from Connie's blog, Scraps & Stories you are right on track.  If you are just getting started just follow the links until you come back to me.  Enjoy the trip!

In order to add just a little dimension to the shells I used a daub of liquid glass on the back and gently laid it down on the card allowing it to dry without pushing the shell down. This added a little lift without being overwhelming like mounting tape would have been for these small embellishments.

I'm calling this my "thing" card.  The card technique was an IOD project which I decided to use Claire on and our cute spinners. I like my results, but I have no idea what I would use it for - an anniversary card perhaps?

Next on our trail is the Pineapple Paper Artist, Amy.  Hop on over to her blog for more inspiration.  Then join my followers and come back to visit often!

Close To My Heart products used for these projects:
X7166B - Claire Paper Pack

Z1333 - Opaques Mocha Adhesive Gems
D1545 - Wheel of Life (My Acrylix Stamp Set)

  2. Betsy, you are always one step ahead of me!!! I was just looking at that summery beach stamp set! Darling with these papers! I would never have guessed. Papers are muted enough to take on the soft summery look! Wonderful!

  3. Super cute cards! I love the look of that second card, the way it expands. Still need to try one of those myself.

  4. I agree with Mare - I wouldn't have thought of that stamp with these papers, but I love the way it works! Good thought on the Liquid Glass dimension, too!
