1-2-3 Craft! A Very Mini Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by at the 1-2-3 Craft blog hop.  Our featured Close To My Heart pattern this month is from Originals Card Confidence Program page 126.  I decided to make my version of this pattern into a Thank You card, of which I currently need a few.  It all goes together so quickly and easily when I turn to Close To My Heart for a sketch.

My papers are from the For Always paper pack, one of my favorite packs that has carried over from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.  This was also my first time using washi tape.  I hope I did it right.

Now check out what Mary and Tracey did for their 1-2-3 Craft! blogs.  You'll see something similar, and yet completely different.

The products I used for this card - Click on the item number to shop my website:
9036 - Originals Card Confidence Program (soft cover)
X7165B - For Always paper pack
Z1817 - Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape
M1029 - A True Thank You

  1. I love how you took this sketch and made it your own...the addition of the two hearts gives it three times the love!

    1. Thank you, Princess! One of the great things about the card patterns in the "Originals" book is that you can glance at them and then use the idea to do what you want or you can follow it exactly. A lot of people start with following exactly because that's most comfortable and a sort of 'guarantee.' Then they expand onto doing their own thing using the ideas as suggestions. That's exactly how my daughter fell in love with scrap booking and making gorgeous layouts.
