Jubilee! Welcome to the Paper Trail!

Welcome to the Paper Trail blog hop.  You can start anywhere on the trail and you'll end up where you start and never miss a post!  If you are already on the path you should have arrived from Linda's blog, The Paper Taylor.

I had so much fun using this Close to my Heart Jubilee paper pack.  My layout is inspired by one of the layouts shown in the Idea Book, but I've added my own touches, including 4x12" extensions, made possible by using our flip flaps.

First the layout as you would first see it while looking through the album.

Next with the flip flaps open.  Room for so many more photos and journaling!

Left page, flap closed.

I hope my layout has inspired you to use this fun and happy paper pack.  And while you are at it, experiment with some flip flaps, they are so much fun!

Next up on the trail is Diane, The Happy Scrapbooker.  I'm sure you'll love what she has to share.  Below are the products I used for this layout which you can purchase on my website.  Click the item numbers to take you there.

Timberline on the Paper Trail

Welcome to the Paper Trail blog hop!  If you came from Diane's blog, The Happy Scrapbooker, you are on the right path.  If you are just getting started, you'll find it's a circular hop and you'll end up right back here.

This month we are featuring the Timberline papers from Close to my Heart.  Beautiful rich colors reminiscent of being in the deep woods, seeking adventure behind trees and in streams.  My layout this month is made to preserve just such memories.

I've used several cuts from our Artbooking Cricut Collection on this layout.  The woodgrain overlay was cut at a 3.75x3.75." I layered it on a solid piece of cardstock and sanded, it creates a simulated embossed look.  The "Great Outdoors" is also on the Artbooking cartridge.

The Timberline Assortment is a collection of wood embellishments, the travel trailer shown here is just one of them.  The outdoor signs are part of the Timberline Complements.  I love these!

Moving along on the trail your next stop is Trisha Manhire's blog. She has something fabulous for you, I'm sure.

You can order items used in this layout from my website.  They are:
X7182B - Timberline Paper Pack
X7182C - Timberline Complements
Z3005 - Timberline Assortment
Z1906 - Artbooking Cricut Collection

Ariana Brings Spring Time to the Paper Trail

On the paper trail this month we bring you Ariana.
You might just be getting started or you may have arrived from Mary's blog, Road to Peace of Mind or Escape.  Just keep following the links and you'll visit us all and be inspired!

Ariana's bold floral print feels retro but also has some very modern elements of design to it that makes me like it more and more each time I see it.  The complementing patterns are classy and fun for a great mix.  I didn't quite use them all, but I did my best!

I really enjoyed using the complements with this paper, they are fun and a little unexpected in my opinion.  I can't wait to add my photos!

Now hop on over to Tracey's blog, Papercrafting Princess and enjoy the rest of the hop.  I'm adding the supply list below that I used for this layout. If you want to shop for these items please click on the item numbers.

Skylark Cruises on the Paper Trail

Ooops, not the Buick Skylark! Although it is nice!
Welcome to the Paper Trail Blog hop.  You may be just getting started or you may have arrived from Connie's blog, Scraps & Stories

Either way, you are on the right trail.  We are a small circular hop and you will return to wherever you started.  Enjoy!

This month we are featuring the Close To My Heart Paper Pack, Skylark. I won't lie, it's my favorite pack in the new Idea Book.  These are my feel-good, happy colors!  Add birds and I am in heaven!

My two page layout for my March Scrap Class.  I've used the CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge in two ways.  The first cut was an overlay centered on the two pages with lovely pops of color in each honeycomb.  The second use was to cut a smaller overlay and use it as a stencil, sponging color onto the lower outer corners of the full layout.

Next is a My Creations Pennant Frame my daughter created using Skylark.  It was the perfect choice for my family photo.

For information about classes on these two projects, check my "Workshops Classes & Crops" tab above.

One of my new favorite Close To My Heart products is our Picture My Life programs for pocket scrapping.  The next photos are of the Skylark set, a perfect companion to my traditional pages!

Now I must get back to my craft room as I hear the Skylark calling me back with his song.  You should hop on over to Karen's Inky Fingers blog for more Skylark inspiration.

Stroll Down Ivy Lane

Come stroll down the Ivy Lane with me on the Paper Trail Blog Hop.  You may have already strolled through Mary's blog, The Road to Peace of Mind or Escape, which means you are on the right trail.  If you are just getting started, then welcome. Our blog hop is circular and once you visit us all you'll find yourself right back here or where ever you started.

A new month, a new Idea Book and an entire new line up of papers is in store for you!  If you haven't seen our new Catalog/Idea Book you can see it online here.  If you'd like one of your own you can also order it right there for just $3.95 (WC1141).  Our Spring/Summer lineup is beautiful!  Be sure to check it out!

We are beginning with Ivy Lane because it's rich colors including Holly Hock, Blush, and Ivy Lane Purple remind me of love and Valentine's Day so that's how I am kicking of February.

I started with the Ivy Lane Workshop On The Go. This is the layout we will use for my Littlest Angels scrap club.  I don't like to give them what they can get by themselves straight from the book, so I amped it up a little bit with some additional Artbooking.  I changed up the stripes on the left hand page, removing the chevron paper and then using it for a romantic overlay.  I kept the Cricut cut flowers in the layout but also added some heart shapes to the right hand side to balance out the left.  We don't meet until next week, but I hope they like it!

Next I have some cards to share.  The first is one I made for my IOD (Ink or Dye) club swap.  I adore how versatile the colors in these papers are.

At IOD, Ramona taught us how to make a stair-step card.  I finished mine using more of the Ivy Lane papers.  I really like how the gold glitter tape gives it some sparkle & pop.

Lastly, these two cards are for a card swap I am hosting.  They are alike but not.  Do you see what the difference is?

I have one more project that is not yet complete.  It's not working out as I had hoped so it's yet to be seen if I will be posting photos of it or not.

Yes, I've been called a tease before.

Now take a gander over to Amy's blog, Pineapple Paper Artist.  I'm sure she has created something wonderful to share!

For more ideas and tips using the Cricut Artbooking Collection, please click on the "Artbooking Tutorials" tab at the top of my page.

Finding Serenity with Sarita on the Paper Trail

What a wonderful Christmas I've had, and I hope you did too!  Welcome back to reality the Paper Trail Blog Hop and some fantastic post holiday art and inspiration.  Our little hop is circular so if you didn't arrive from Amy's Pineapple Paper Artist blog, stay calm and continue on- you will visit us all!

This month the Paper Trail artists are using Sarita, a colorful and trendy paper that I've fallen hard for. The variety of colors in these papers make them a great choice for almost any layout.  Check out what I've done, it was so much fun!

I love using the Workshop On The Go and the coordinating stamps that come with it.  The Sarita Assortment is also one of my favorites.  As you can see, I don't always use the layouts included and that's just one more thing I love about the creative options!

Proplayer, December Paper Trail blog hop

Welcome to the Paper Trail blog hop. First I must apologize if you have tried to do the hop & were interrupted by my absence.  You should be arriving from Karen's Inky Fingers blog if you are not starting here.  We are a small circular hop so you should be able to link right through us and back to your starting point.

For December we decided not to do Christmas paper.  As a paper crafter you are probably already getting tired of green, red & gold or blue, gray & silver.  We are going in another direction!  Pro-Player offers up some lovely dark papers including reds & blues and a touch of neutral. Dark stormy wintry colors.

Trying to think outside the box and yet stay with the Holidays, I saw the dark and dotted paper as an out of focus lighted background, almost like a very distant and dark lit up tree.  I decided to use it as a background on a 6x6 card with an ornament overlay from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge cut from silver glitter paper.

I paper pieced the lighter blue, red and neutral papers behind some of the ornaments to help give them definition and then filled in those areas with liquid glass.  A stamped and popped sentiment from the Sparkle & Shine Workshop on the Go completes the card.

In the stamp club I attend monthly we were playing with the sun ray cards.  I'm sure these have another name but I'm not clever enough to think of it.  I wanted to do one of them as well, so I created this card and attached "Congrats!" stamped with our Framework Alphabet and colored in with our alcohol markers.  My daughter graduates from college in less than two weeks, so I think this one is for her.

I hope you've enjoyed what I've done with the Proplayer papers.  Next in our order on the trail is Tracey, the Paper Crafting Princess.  Please continue on and check out what she has done!

Here's a view of the six designs.  The products I used are listed below and you can purchase them on my website by clicking on the item number.

A Little Frost on the Paper Trail

Welcome to the Paper Trail blog hop.  This is a circular blog hop so no matter where you start you'll come around to that point if you just keep following the links.  If you are not starting here you must have come from Connie's blog, Scraps & Stories.

We are featuring the cool tones of the Close to my Heart "Frosted" paper pack this month, with icy blues and greys and a bit of snowflakes.  I made up a sweet card for winter with this pack.

My cute little chilly Willy is from a hostess only stamp set which features three adorable little penguins in different activities.  I've added silver Shimmer Trim and Bitty Clear Sparkles for an icy look.  And one of my favorite things about our papers is the zip strip, a half inch coordinating strip on each 12x12 patterned card stock.  I added one here to break up the background and *ground* my focal image.

Thanks for stopping by.  Mary is up next on the trail. Just follow the link to her Road to Peace of Mind or Escape? to see more!
