Betsy's June Cardmaking Workshop

 

For anyone who hasn't previously joined me for one of my virtual cardmaking workshops, let me explain how it works.

• It's a virtual/online workshop on Facebook, in Betsy's Paper Craft Room. 
• I've designed the cards (pictured) and when you register I will send you a kit with all the pre-cut & pre-stamped parts.
• When you receive the kit, all you have to do is whatever prep I tell you is necessary (usually just coloring and sometimes a little fussy cutting). I'll send you a link to a blog post where that information is available with detail. 
• Finally, join me in the Paper Craft Room as I lead you through assembling your cards via a Facebook Live event. Easy Peasy! Usually all you need is some adhesive.

We'll use a little bit of acetate on this card to get that realistic mason jar of tea look. How cool is that?

This bright & beautiful card is called a waterfall card. When you pull down on the gold threads, the four flaps open individually to reveal more of the message. It may sound difficult but it's not and I'll walk you right through it!

Summer is coming! If you can't meet up or vacation with all your best summertime friends this year, send them a smile to let them know you are missing them!

I love Love LOVE coffee, especially an iced latte in the summer! If you aren't a coffee lover I am sure you have at least one friend that is and would smile big receiving this card!

Patriotic Chick

 I'm having so much fun being on the design team for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This is my card for design 426.  I really love this design. I'm sure I am not the only one who immediately saw a double flap card.  And since we are nearing the end of June I thought a little patriotic flare for July was the way to go. Here's what I did. 

Our Blue Belle Shimmer Trim is perfect for grounding my little blue bird. Both left & right flaps are lined with it. 

Tiny little silver heart confetti is glued to her balloon to make it extra special patriotic. And a couple in her flowers, as well.

Here is the Sketch for this weeks challenge.  Add your own card, or at least go see what others have come up with based on the sketch. There's always some awesome art to see.

Hillside Cottage Cardmaking Workshop

I am offering a class to make these beautiful Hillside Cottage cards. This class requires the purchase of the Hillside Cottage Cardmaking Kit from Close To My Heart. You will love this kit! What I especially love about it is how versatile the stamps are – I will be using them over and over again on other projects for sure!

I used the instructions, stamps & thin cuts from the kit to make another set of cards using a different paper pack, cardstocks and colors of inks for you to see how it changes the cards.  So much you can do with one cardmaking kit and your own stash! Image what will happen when you add your own creativity, too.

I am hosting an online cardmaking workshop and I would be delighted to have you join me! We'll be making the four cards you see above.  Here are the details:

Fabulous Five brought to you by the month of May

May kicks off our Seasonal Expression II catalog and fun new products.  The following cards were created in my Fabulous Five class featuring some of the new products.  Enjoy!

These first two feature our "Jack" papers used in the Father's Day Cardmaking Kit.  It's so much more versatile than just for Father's Day.  I love the more masculine feel of these.  Of course I gave my versions a few tweaks by adding the Wood Slats embossing folder texture and using the zip strip from the paper.

Next up and right on trend are cards made with the Little Dreamer cardmaking stamps & thin cuts bundle and the Little Dreamer paper pack.  So cute & sweet!!  Check out the paper pack for sure! Whether you are a Unicorn fan or not, there is so much to love in this new package!

My last card is using the May Stamp of the Month, Live Laugh Love, coupled again with the Little Dreamer papers and a resist technique.
