It's Here!

It's the first day of August which means it's also the first day you can place an order from the brand new Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations Idea Book & Catalog.  The preview month has been so exciting as I've gotten to play with new products and plan classes and workshops.  And now it's here, online, and ready to share!

To view the book page by page to to my website, click on the "Products" link and choose the Annual Inspirations book to view.  It's even better when you have one in your hands, turning the pages and putting your nose up against the beautiful photos for the extreme close up view.  If that appeals to you, let me know and we can arrange for you to receive your very own copy!

Also available this month only is an adorable Stamp of the Month, What A Hoot.  I've been on vacation in Washington & Alaska for the past two weeks, but as soon as I can I will update this post with a photo of the actual stamps and some of my own artwork. Check back soon!

Some Favorite Swap Cards

I overheard at convention that the card swap was for "newbies."  Well, I guess after almost 20 years with DOTS/CTMH I'm still a newbie.  I love swapping cards. It's a great ice breaker making it easy to walk up to your new soon-to-be friends.  And the inspiration I get from other people's work goes home with me for easy reference.  And there are always some who put an amazing amount of thought & effort into their cards, it would be a crime to not be able to take one with me.

That said, here are some of my favorite cards swapped for this year.

Sneak A Peek!! New product!!!

Sharing photos of the first bundle of products I received after convention.  I am so stoked to play with all these things!!

This first photo is of the paper pack Pathfinding and the assortment and complements that go along with it.

love Love LOVE the new Teal assortment of Glitter paper. The three blues are so pretty and coordinate so well with Pathfinding.  And dig that new chevron border punch!  Much fun is coming!

My Acrylix stamp sets.  A great new alphabet which includes upper and lower case, Handwritten Print, Lifetime of Happiness right below it, A Season of Thanks, upper right and below that, Thankful Heart set.

More My Acrylix that came with the new markers: clockwise from top left, Lovely Birthday, Pretty Petals, Rainy Day and Great Job.

And my favorite new product, ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Markers.  Move over Copics, ShinHan has come to town!!!

Artfully Sent - A Brand New Cricut Cartridge!

One of my biggest pleasures in attending the annual Close To My Heart convention is being among the first to see and use new products.  This year we have introduced another new Close To My Heart Cricut cartridge that is all about cards!

Once again we are presenting a new cartridge loaded with 700 images that will give you the tools to easily create hundreds of unique cards.

These three card designs are included on the Artfully Sent cartridge and we were able to make them at convention.

Watch this video while Kristine Widtfeldt fills you in on even more about the cartridge and what all comes with it.  It's not available until our catalog release on August 1st, but if you'd like a reminder, just email me at betsygully@gmail.com.

Well, this is a little embarrassing!  CTMH decided it might be better to not share this video until the new cartridge is available.  So instead I'm offering your some funny kitty stuff.  Enjoy.
